Slugterra Secret Agents AU

"Eli Shane, your father has brought you here since you were 5, along with your sister, correct?"
"Yes." A fifteen year old teenage boy, with dark navy blue hair and blue eyes stood in the middle of a Conference Room. All Elite Agents and High-Ranked field agents were seated around the boy in a circle, a clipboard in hand to write down about Eli. Not far away from them, was a fourteen year old girl, she was wearing a navy blue dress. Her dark navy blue hair tied up in a formal bun on her head. Her blue eyes were mostly focused on her older brother.

“Do you speak of the truth when you promise me that you haven’t told anybody of your involvement with our organization?” asked the man, head president of the Secret Agency.

Eli nodded and looked up to him. “Yes, I speak of the truth. Only my sister and I know about this. None of us has spoken a word about this place, I don’t lack of candour.”  He said blinking.

“Do you–we approve of Will Shane’s son in becoming one of our agents?” the President asked in general.

Those who approved stood up–which were literally all of them, – and said: “We approve him.” They said in unison.

Since there weren’t any who didn’t approve, the President himself stood up. “Will Shane was a great agent, not forgetting that his uncle was co-founder of the STOSS Organization; William will not be forgotten, he made a great sacrifice to keep the Republic of Slugterra safe and sound.” He said. Eli and his sister looked down, still saddened about their father’s death. “Amelia Shane was also a great agent; she helped us with the strategy to defeat a death sentence from Dr. Thaddius Blakk. She will always be a woman to look up at. Eli, since she was your mother and your father’s wife, we say:”

“The Shane family will always be welcomed in out humble organization.” said all the people in the room.

Eli looked at all of them, a childish grin plastered on his face. “And the Shane family will and is very thankful of that.” He said along with his sister Karina.

The President walked towards Eli and gave him a curt nod. “Now all you need to say now is the vow.” He mumbled.

The Shane nodded. “I, Eli Shane, son of Will and Amelia Shane, promise to keep The Republic of Slugterra safe and sound, I promise to give my life to keep the secret of the Organization and to keep Slugterra peaceful;” He said with his right hand held at the height of his shoulders. He moved his hand over his heart, “if I were to break this vow, I will accept any punishment if I am found guilty in the court.” He said finishing the vow.

“Welcome Agent E07” said everyone in unison.

“Well Eli, you’re in.” Karina said hugging him softly. “I’ll join you next year.” She added.

Eli chuckled in place a strand of hair behind her ear. “And I’ll be waiting.” He said, then he grabbed her from the waist and spun her around. She laughed.

“Haha! Put me down E! Haha!” she said between her laughter. She managed to get a hand on her brother’s hair and messed it up.

“Hey!” he said lowering her to the ground. “It was hard to do it.” He groaned trying to fix it up.

“That’s what you get when you spin me around.” Karina sighed. “But it was fun, no?”

“Very.” Eli admitted. “Come on, let’s go see my new ‘office’.” He said.

“Wait… office?” the youngest Shane asked eyes open wide. Eli just laughed; he started walking toward the northwest part of the building. “Hey, wait up!” she yelled after him.

Eli shook his head slightly; he just loved to tease his little sister.

When both got to the office like room, the Shane siblings let out a gasp. The room was huge; it had an excellent view to the city. “Wow…”

“Like our choice?” came a male voice from the door. Both teens turned around and found themselves looking at a young man with a black suit and green eyes. “My apologies, they call me Agent Gentleman.” He said bowing his head towards them.

“Oh… Cool.” Eli said. Karina just looked the Gentleman with her head tilted to a side.

The Gentleman shook hands with Eli and kissed Karina’s hand gently. “It’s an honour to meet you both.” He said.

“The honour is ours.” They said in unison. “My name is Eli and she is Karina.” Said Eli.

“Yes, I knew your father. Such a good man.” He said. “Now, I would like you to come and join us in the Dining Hall. It’s in your honour Agent E.” he said.

“Do they have cake?” Karina blurted out suddenly. Eli looked at her crossly. “Sorry, I love cake.” She said nervously.

“Of course we do.” The Gentleman said looking at her. “And we have pie as well.” he added eyeing Eli.

“Let’s go then!” Eli said with a grin. “Lead the way Agent.” He said grabbing his sister’s hand.

The Gentleman chuckled and shook his head slightly. “Follow me then.”

 They walked silently in the corridors of the building; in the meantime, the Gentleman gave a brief introduction to all the rooms they passed: The training room, the bathroom, the laboratory, the computer lab etc.

“And finally the Dining Hall.” He said.

“This thing is huge!” Eli exclaimed.

The ceiling had a dome like shape, 3 chandeliers were hanging from it. The walls had huge red curtains; the names of every Agent were inscribed in them.

“Cake!!” Karina exclaimed eyeing the table with the sweets. She ran towards it before Eli could stop her.

The Gentleman chuckled. “She loves cakes, doesn’t she?” he asked.

“You don’t imagine.” Eli said passing a hand through his hair. ”So... Where to we sit?” he asked.

“Over there, close to the President, both of you.” He said. “You may go get some food since this is a buffet. I’ll be joining you and your sister soon enough, excuse me.” The Gentleman said before leaving Eli.

Eli shrugged and went to get his own food.

“Hey Eli, you won’t imagine what kinds of cakes they have here.” Karina’s giddy voice from behind him. “And the food, wow…” she said.

“Hmm, when we came here with Dad, they didn’t have buffets like this before.” He commented. Karina nodded, agreeing with him.

They went to their seats and sat down. Everyone was talking and some where congratulating Eli, others were giving blessing to both of the Shanes; but they were soon interrupted by the clinking of a spoon against a cup of wine.

“I would like to personally congratulate our new recruit Eli Shane for being here for us. The Shanes have always been very good friends of mine.” The President said while he stood. “I hope that you Eli will have a good future with us. And we will pay for all your studies in the future.” He added with a smile.

Eli’s eyes widened in surprise, he didn’t expect that.

“And I will advise Karina Shane, Eli’s younger sister, to be a good girl and obey her brother when he says to be careful with the cake.” He teased. Karina blushed in embarrassment but gave the President a cheeky grin. “I hope to see you here next year.”  He added with a chuckle. Everybody else laughed somewhat, even her.

“Blessings to you both.” He said lifting his cup up. “Cheers.”

“Cheers.” Everybody else repeated while they held up their own cups of wine, then they sat down and ate.

“Interesting, huh?” The Gentleman asked as he joined them at the table later on.

“You don’t imagine.” Eli chuckled. Karina sighed slightly, her face still flushed.

Time passed and soon everyone returned to their houses, saying goodbye to each other.

Eli and Karina waited till everyone left the place before walking home, alone.
