Of course, JackieWinters came up with the idea xD(excuse the terrible anatomy in this one, i just wanted to design their clothes but the sketch makes it shity xc)
Eli and Karina Shane are half vampires and half humans, Will Shane being the vampire who married a human woman. The Shanes are still the protectors of Slugterra, just in a different sense, they protect humanity and other humanoid beings from the evil vampires. (Reminder that not all vampires are evil here). They are harbours of magic and keep a record of spells in the Book of Shanes, these spells are written in the Shane Code and is passed down from generation to generation.
Will Shane and his wife disappeared not long after the Emperor (King of the Vampires,) launched a massive attack on the population. Eli and Karina were 7 and 6 respectively.
Just a year later, the Emperor sent his minions to capture Eli and the Book of Shanes. Thus Eli and Karina were separated, Eli and the Book gone with the Emperor while Karina stayed alone. She then joined the Vampire Hunter Academy with one single goal in her mind, rescue her brother.
Eli was taken as hostage because he is the first born and because they Emperor knew only of his existence. He has been trying to get Eli to translate the Shane Code for him and find a spell that will make him immortal and the most powerful vampire in existence, Eli refuses and the Emperor has to take some major actions to make him talk.
Years has passed and Eli still hasn't spoken a word about the Shane Code, but the Emperor won't give up. He puts a spell on Eli after two or three years, and tries to brainwash Eli, but being a half vampire has its advantages, the Emperor's spell doesn't take complete control over him as the spell works on ONLY humans and ONLY vampires, not hybrids. Therefore he takes an enchanted necklace and puts it on Eli, this charm is to keep him under the Emperor's control, it works but Eli won't say a word about the Shane Code.
Meanwhile, Karina has teamed up with Quora Tsuoi, meeting her briefly back at the Vampire Hunter Academy and then teaming up with her years after the Acadamy was attacked by a raid of vampires. Together, they travel across Slugterra trying to find Eli and avenge Junjie's death, Quora's training buddy and lover.
Vampire AU Important Facts: (more will be added in the future)
•Vampires can drink from other Vampires to quench their thirst, but they will need human blood when Vampire Blood no longer calms the first. (They will need 2-3 feeding from humans before being able to drink Vampire Blood once again)
•There are two types of vampires in this AU, Blood Vampires and Fruit Vampires. (Fruit Vampires being one of the lowest populations in the AU)
•Blood Vampires have red eyes while Fruit Vampires have any coloured eyes.
•5% of the male Blood Vampire population have the famous Aphrodisiac Venom. But in this AU it is a very weak gene and only descendants of the very first pure Vampires have them.
•Fruit Vampires have the highest rate of Aphrodisiac Venom, almost 70% of the population have it. The venom secretes onto their lips coating them in a glazed layer. They have complete control over it.
•Blood Vampires cannot walk in daylight unless they have enchanted jewelry, there are commonly personalized.
•Fruit Vampires do not need enchanted jewelry to walk in daylight.
•Vampires, males and females alike, have primal instincts of protectiveness over the person they consider as mates. The level of aggressiveness toward others when protecting their mate ranges from vampire to vampire. Their eyes turn to purple when the instinct kicks in.
